the good news

this is where I work. The Dry Creek Mercantile. The Dry Creek Mercantile warmly greets you as you enter into the Hidden Springs Community. This unique general store and eatery, known to locals as the Merc, acts as a dynamic social gathering place, party headquarters, and town center. A full menu is offered 7 days a week with themed buffets and live music going on every Friday night. The Merc is "the place."

On thanksgiving morning a sprinkler went off inside and cause all sorts of trouble. Mold issues, buckling of walls, soggy floors (Rexburg flashback). The Merc is going to have to undergo extensive repairs and will be closed from December 27th to February 3rd. Insurance is going to be covering the repairs as well as employees lost wages.

do you realize what this means?

I have a month vacation coming my way. I have started a to-do list for this month of freedom. This is what I have so far:

1. Go to Canada and play with Payton
2. Make bedroom curtains.
3. Sand and finish the stairs.
4. Clean my house every day.
5. Sew a quilt (...if I feel like forking out the cash that is)
6. Explore what its like making dinner for my husband
7. Miss night where I make 75 bucks in tips... (like tonight)
8. Somehow magically procure kitchen cabinets

I am currently taking suggestions so feel free to post your two-bits.
