someday i'll be a sewer

my mom is good at sewing. she can whip me up a skirt in 30 minutes and i will wear it that day. she has made oodles of quilts to put up on her walls to match the seasons and holidays, and has crocheted even more baby blankets for her unborn grandkiddies.

why didn't i get this talent?

all i can do is sew a straight line. i hate the confusion of patterns and hate cutting, measuring, pinning, and pressing. so that is why i need her help to make this:

because goodness knows i'm not paying $78 at urban, or $118 for this one at anthro:

good thing i found a tutorial.

come visit me, mama!
