Last weekend was great. I ran 7 miles, shot a bullseye at hunter's ed, and watched BSU beat Wyoming. But what made it the BEEEEST was the Treasure Valley Celtic Festival and Highland Games.

I got to watch a piping band (of which I will be taking lessons in come October) AND highland dancers, which took me back to the good ol' days of dancing with kyra, heather, and tina in the talent show...
ooooh to be young again.

then I had the guilty pleasure of watching some cabertossing and... hay-bag throwing? this giant stud won like 8 events and got that giant axe thingy for it. i do admire his goatee and that haircut? very hot. but let's be honest, he's got nothing on my handsome man:

I guess that Scottish men would get bored at work so they would stick a pitchfork in a 16lb bag of hay and see how high they could throw it? That's cool I guess, if that's what your into. I prefer Settlers of Catan.

And it wouldn't be a festival if I didn't dance around by myself to a one-armed man playing the didjeridoo!

This beaver was part of a Viking display... everything still attached!
Unfortunately since I was there by myself I didn't get any pictures of... myself. i feel a little vain when I am pointing a camera at myself all day. But just picture me dressed like this guy and you will get the full effect of how great a day it was for me and how much i love a good strong celtic heritage!
