Blake was sweet and brave enough to let his girls leave him for a week and go home to Canada. Thanks Blake! We were going to ride the train, but a 27 hour ride didn't sound THAT fun, and the luggage they let you bring is limited. So Blake drove us to Dillon Montana and we met my mom there, who took us home. The whole week was spent in Waterton, and Ruby enjoyed meeting a lot of family and spending time in the great outdoors.
We hung out at Red Rock, hiked to Bertha Bay, ate golf course nachos, napped, rode bikes, ate ice cream, and swam at Marquis Hole. All the things that make me love Waterton so much!
Bertha Bay was a good time. I packed Ruby in my baby bjorn thingy and we headed out. She slept great for the first half of the hike, but then woke up and cried and cried. I guess laying against my sweaty body isn't that fun or comfortable? When we got to the Bay, it was too windy to let her face out, so we ended up hiding in a little shady cove. Then it was too cold to swim! Not exactly how I had planned that trip!

Brooke was afraid of bears and wouldn't hike, so Amy had the great idea to canoe to Bertha Bay. Needless to say, it wasn't as easy as they thought, and ended up getting towed. |
Hiking Bears Hump. After the wonderful Bertha Bay experience, we decided Ruby should sit this one out. |

This picture really goes against everything I believe, as far as feeding the wildlife goes. |

Can't wait till next summer when Ruby is a little older and we can be there with Dad!
