directions

I am SO BAD at following directions. I used to think I was really good at reading comprehension and I understood alot of what I read back in high school. But now, I blame everything I do wrong in the domestic world on not being able to understand directions. It is why I am a bad cook. It is why I am a bad seamstress. It is why I am a bad handy-man. (Well actually I am a pretty good handy-man.) Because when I can't figure out what the directions are trying to tell me to do, I do my own thang. (which you can get away with in the handy-man world.) I must get that from my mother.

I guess making up my own directions wouldn't be so bad if they made sense and led me to the same conclusion I was trying for in the first place...

I guess this is called learning? weird.

I guess I will call a seasoned professional (my mother) and have her tell me what to do...

but come on, they are gunna be dang cute stockings, right?!
